One Piece"s Edward Newgate, better known as Whitebeard, is getting a high-end figure this year. The Bandai Premium website and other retailers will begin accepting pre-orders for the "Portrait.Of.Pirates One Piece "Neo-Maximum" "Shirohige" Edward Newgate" figure on Friday.
Whitebeard appears in a scene from the Battle of Marineford in the figure, which stands 300 millimeters (about 12 inches) tall. The figure highlights the character"s sinewy muscles and popping blood vessels. Whitebeard holds his trademark halberd and wears his coat from the manga and anime.
The figure costs 19,980 yen (about US$180), and it is slated to ship in October to people who pre-order.
